totemMy hard working husband is a self-employed Red Seal Carpenter in the warmer months and a Heli Ski Guide for Wiegele Heli Skiing during the winter.

His most recent project he has been working on is a 6-plex in Kispiox, BC.

A few months ago, Lee was invited by a Native Elder to assist in the caving of a totem pole. As an avid carver and non-native newcomer, he was very honoured.

Recently, these new poles were erected and Lee was able to capture them in all their glory!

I have yet to visit the site myself and am curious about the meaning etched in the wood.

Do you have a favourite totem pole? If so, where and why?
